You know those places that you just can't stop thinking about?
- those places you just want to go back to time and time again?
This is truly one of them ...
Days consisting of walking
in beautiful hills, relaxing in a comfortable farmhouse,
eating freshly picked organic food, meeting and learning
about indigenous
hill tribes makes a trip to Karmi Farm a very
special time.
Andrew Pulger-Frame,
maternal great grandson of Raja
Tenduk Pulger of the ancient Sikkimese Lepcha tribe,
and son of a Scottish Tea Planter, spent much of his
childhood in and
around the area.
The combination of his
fluent English and Nepalese, his
local current
and historic knowledge plus his experience
as a trekking guide to Everest Base Camp ensures you
will make the most of this stunning area.
With eco-tourism in
the fore-front, Karmi Farm ensures
local farmers and their families are given any work available. Food not
grown on the farm is bought from neighbours. Any maintenance or restoration
work carried out at Karmi utilises local suppliers and materials.
